PAID INTERNSHIPS FOR PENN STATE STUDENTS

Annie Gooding Sykes Internship

The Annie Gooding Sykes Internship is a 12-week internship offered during the summer. Interns work with museum staff on a variety of curatorial projects, with a particular focus on American works on paper.

Silver Trout Curatorial Graduate Intership Program

The Silver Trout Curatorial Graduate Intership Program is a 12-week internship offered during the summer. Interns work with the museum staff on curatorial projects and initiatives.

Pincus Family Foundation Endowment Internship

The Pincus Family Foundation Endowment Internship is a 12-week internship usually offered during the summer. Interns work with museum staff on a variety of curatorial projects and education programs.


OTHER SUMMER INTERNSHIPS AND POSITIONS

Palmer Museum of Art Internship

The museum is able to offer a limited number of summer internships to Penn State students and students from other universities. Interns work with museum staff on a variety of projects as needed. Students who have completed the Art 409/Art H 409: Museum Studies course are preferred.
 

Work-Study Positions 

Federal work-study positions are available for both undergraduate and graduate Penn State students at the Palmer Museum of Art during the academic year and summer sessions. You must receive approval from the Office of Student Aid and maintain eligibility requirements.
 

Education and Registration Internships 

Penn State students may be eligible for an internship position with the curator of education or registrar during the summer session, in cooperation with their adviser. This is a for-credit internship through individual departments with no stipend offered. Students who have completed the Art 409/Art H 409: Museum Studies course are preferred.
