Community Day: Bridging Art and Nature

Saturday, October 20, 11 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

Join us for a variety of programs that invite us to consider connections between art and the natural world. Enjoy gallery talks, tours, and get creative with art activities inspired by still-life paintings on view. Students from the Penn State Student Farm will be on hand to help root out connections between agriculture, art, and everyday life.


11:15 a.m. – Music and Art

Gallery discussion hosted by Palmer graduate assistant, Alicia Skeath, and docent, Alice Clark

Location: meet in Snowiss Gallery to begin


1:00 - 3:00 p.m. – Pastel Painting Demonstration

Artists from the Central Pennsylvania Pastel Society offer a glimpse into their painting process

Location: Palmer Plaza (or Christoffers Lobby, if inclement weather)
